About Us

WHY GET INVOLVED?- You can influence and make choices about the health and social care provided in your area. Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) LINk has legal powers to hold those who provide your health and social care services to account - and get answers and results.

The LINk's role is to:

Ask the people of BANES what they think about local health and social care services and provide a chance to suggest ideas to help improve services.
Investigate specific issues of concern to the community relating to their health and social care.
Use its powers to hold those who provide health and social care services to account - and get answers and results.
Ask for information and get an answer in a specified amount of time.
Carry out spot-checks of services to see if they are working well.
Make reports and recommendations to improve services, and receive a response.
Refer issues to the Overview and Scrutiny Panel of BANES Council.

The LINk will give the people of BANES a stronger voice in how their health and social care services are delivered. The LINk is run by local individuals and groups and directly supported by an independent voluntary sector organisation. Anyone in BANES can get involved in our activities or raise their concerns with us. We would like to hear your views on health and social care services in BANES.
